Pride events and festivals around the world are aiming to create a safe, inclusive and empowering environment where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive and be celebrated for their unique identities. Pride is a celebration of people and communities coming together to show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there’s still work to be done.

Basingstoke Pride will be taking place on the 17th August 2024 from 12pm-4pm at the Festival Place Amphitheatre.

All the information about the Parade can be found here. Please note that if you have a ticket that you will need to be at Willow’s Cafe at 11:30 with your ticket ready to be scanned.

There will be a team of DBS checked staff and volunteers running the event, alongside first aid trained crew and security ensuring that everyone is safe. For more information, please head over to our ‘what’s on’ page, to see which charities will be taking part at the event.

Wheelchairs and Scooters can be hired from Shopmobility Basingstoke. Shopmobility offer a range of wheelchairs and electric scooters for hire on a daily or part daily basis. Full training is offered. Located adjacent to Festival Place, off Church Street, Shopmobility have their own car parking places. Please call 01256 476066 or log on to www.shopmobilitybasingstoke.org.

You will also have access to the toilet facilities in the following places: Festival Place, Five Guys, Brewdog, Cosy Club, Las Iguanas, Weatherspoons and Pizza Express. Just make sure to show them your ticket to gain access.

You will need a free ticket to enter Pride, so please head to our website to register. 

Yes, you can bring outside food and beverages to the Pride event. There is a variety of vendors in and out of Festival Place.

Pride is an outdoors event, so please make sure to check the weather and temperature before attending on the day.

Basingstoke Pride is an alcohol free event, but there are a few places around where you will be able to enjoy an alcoholic drink but we please ask that you don’t bring this onto the Amphitheatre. 

For the event we recommend that you bring your own water bottle as it is likey to be warm. But you will be able to fill it up from the following places: Five Guys, Brewdog, Cosy Club, Las Iguanas, Weatherspoons and Pizza Express. Please make sure to show them your Pride ticket.
